I believe the future of healthcare is personalized, it's transformative. I'm not just reimagining healthcare; I'm actively rebuilding it.
Working in medicine for nearly twenty years has revealed so much about the world and the people within it — in all their complexity. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of the human body and how our systems interact to both cause and cure disease. After overcoming my own health struggles, my perspective on healthcare and how I practice it changed — both personally and professionally.
One of my biggest realizations has been how medicine rewards specialization. The more narrowly focused you are, the more “expert” you’re considered. Yet every specialist views the body through their own lens, often in fifteen minutes or less — as if the rest of the body, mind, and environment aren’t interconnected and interdependent. It used to confuse me… until it didn’t.
For a while, I wrestled internally — almost at war with myself and my beliefs. I struggled to show up each day practicing traditional medicine, prescribing blood pressure and cholesterol medications, while knowing there was so much more I could do. I’ve witnessed people truly heal — and I knew others deserved that too. Sometimes I still grapple with those feelings today. That’s when I realized this was my greatest strength - I can do both. I can meet people where they are within a “corporate medicine” structure, guiding and teaching along the way, while also building a practice focused on wellness services for those ready to take full control of their health. Regardless of the setting, patients often tell me: “This is the best appointment I’ve ever had,” and I wish I would glow every time I heard those words — because that’s exactly how it makes me feel.
Make no mistake, we need medicine. It saves lives every single day — including mine. Without modern western medicine, we would be in big trouble. I remain deeply dedicated to science and will never discredit the incredible work, dedication, and impact of the medical community.
But healthcare has to be better than this. Real healing begins long before the point of crisis. True change happens when we shift from symptom management to discovering the root causes — when we stop masking illness and start understanding why we feel the way we do. That’s where the transformation begins.
I truly believe thriving should be your baseline.
